Doug has been practicing engineering with Osborn since graduating from college in 1990. As Director of Energy & Facility Systems, Doug's responsibilities include project management and mechanical engineering design with an emphasis on energy efficiency and optimization. He is a Registered Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, LEED™ Accredited Professional and a Certified Green Building Engineer. His technical areas of expertise include heating, ventilating and air conditioning, energy conservation, industrial ventilation, fire protection, plumbing and cost estimating. He has lectured and is published widely in the field of energy optimization. Doug has conducted more than 200 energy audits nationwide and was the first engineer in the state of Ohio to sponsor and provide professional engineering verification for a building that received the ENERGY STAR® Label. Doug earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
