Controller Accounting / Administration Group

The position reports to the President and Board of Directors.
Member of the Executive Committee.
Main responsibilities include:

1. CORPORATE ACCOUNTING
º Maintain and manage operations for Accounting, Project Management, Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable Systems for Corporate, Subsidiary and Affiliate Companies
º Monitor/Assess and recommend improvements to upgrade/replace accounting system. Devise, develop, modify and prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual internal management reports to support corporate operations and changing requirements.
º Manage:
- Preparation of project management reports to support project management.
- Client billing, accounts receivable and payable and Payroll functions including record keeping
- Banking relationship operations for checking and investment accounts and loan covenant reporting and assist in coordination of overall banking relationship
º Coordinate with Public Accountants on accounting operations, preparation of internal management reports, Financial Statements and tax returns
º Prepare Company Payroll and Commercial Activities Tax reports and fillings
º Compile data for and respond to PSMJ and ACEC surveys

2. HUMAN RESOURCES
º Maintain corporate personnel records and pay records and prepare schedules for annual pay raises and quarterly bonuses
º Health Care and 401k Plans
- Coordinate management of plan with executive management
- Manage program operations and reporting with consultants and Third Party Administrators
- Assist employees in enrollment and resolution of plan concerns
º As Company EEO Officer, manage program and coordinate with consultant in preparation of annual program report and submission of governmental reports and proposal submissions
º Manage corporate benefits and entitlement programs including Workers’ Compensation, Life Insurance, Accident, Death and Dismemberment and Long Term Disability
º Provide recommendations to and assist management in personnel actions including recruiting, hiring, adverse actions and terminations

3. OPERATIONS
º Maintain corporate project and pre-project database on Access
º Coordinate compilation and submission of annual Professional and General Liability insurance applications
º Maintain corporate Stock records and Filings with State of Ohio
