ENERGY STAR Buildings Project @ the Frank J. Lausche State Office
The Frank J. Lausche State Office Building in Cleveland, Ohio is a shining example of how integrated engineering can optimize the operating efficiency of a building. The 458,000 square foot facility opened in 1979. The Five Stage ENERGY STAR Building Strategy was completed in 1996, which included comprehensive upgrades on the building's envelope, lighting systems, air handling, chiller and pumping systems. As a result of our renovation project, the Lausche Building became one of the first 20 buildings in the country, and the first in Ohio to receive the ENERGY STAR label with a score of 75 and realized a 38.4% reduction in energy consumption.
