(Before Construction)
City of Berea
Prospect & West Street Sanitary Relief Sewer Project

The primary goal of this project is to increase sanitary sewer capacity and eliminate infiltration of storm water into the sanitary sewer system by constructing a new sanitary trunk line on South Rocky River Drive in the City of Berea. The sewer will replace the existing undersized sewer from the intersection of West Bridge Street south to the City corporation line. Existing sewers from seven other streets in this neighborhood south of the center of town just above the valley between Coe Lake and Baldwin Lake will be tied into this new trunk sewer. By constructing the new sewer, two sanitary overflows into the east branch of the Rocky River will be eliminated, one of which is currently pumped into the River.
