Miles Road Bridge Rehabilitation # 178 & #179
The rehabilitation of Cuyahoga County's Miles Road Bridge No. 178 over Deerlick Creek and Bridge No. 179 over the Chagrin River both entailed the use of unique design features. Bridge No. 178 included a deck replacement using Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) reinforcement. This project was one of the first projects in the County and in the State of Ohio to be designed with this new innovative technology. Bridge No. 179 included inspection and extensive rehabilitation of the 150-foot long concrete arch span over the scenic Chagrin River.
