Summit County
Parking Deck Addition
Osborn was asked to renovate and increase the existing parking capacity of Summit County's downtown parking deck that was constructed in 1978 from three to five levels. Structurally the challenge was to not only add the two levels but to comply with the stricter seismic codes. The results are an increase of 350 new parking spaces, renovation of existing elevators, stairways, offices and a new building façade designed to enhance and blend with the local architecture. An outstanding feature of the project is the spectacular glass-enclosed pedestrian bridge connecting the renovated garage to the County Building crossing over busy South High Street.
