Marcía Alvarado, PE
Marcía brings a dynamic blend of technical expertise, client-focused leadership and creative strategy to the Osborn Engineering team. Throughout her career, she has successfully served as a Client Manager, fostering trusted relationships and consistently delivering solutions that exceed client expectations.
Her multifaceted background includes deep experience in structural design for both new construction and complex renovation projects across a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, commercial, hospitality, higher education, multi-family residential, aviation, federal, municipal, public safety and parking structures. She also has experience in restoration construction and forensic engineering investigations, analysis for existing buildings for seismic, wind, and AT/FP blast resistance and progressive collapse upgrades, including National Technical Reviews for various FEMA programs.
What sets Marcía apart is her unique integration of engineering, marketing and storytelling. She leverages this skillset to support business development, enhance brand visibility, and inspire collaboration among project teams. Her ability to translate technical concepts into compelling narratives strengthens client engagement and drives strategic growth for the firm.

Marcía has been a speaker, panelist and educator for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion since 2018 and has a Diversity and Inclusion certification from Cornell University. A frequent speaker for organizations including Zweig Group ElevateHer, SMPS Chapters, International Parking & Mobility Institute, ABC NexGen, AAAE, CMAA, Society of Women Engineers and University of South Florida, she shares an inclusive approach to practicing authenticity in all areas of her work and personal life.
Deeply involved in community initiatives, Marcía is a graduate of Leadership Tampa Bay, Class of 2017, and has served as the Diversity and Inclusion Chair for the Board of Directors. She also served as President/Vice Chair for the ACE Mentor Program of Greater Tampa Bay and has been involved in the program since its inception in 2011. Marcía currently serves as a board member for the SMPS Tampa Bay.
