Osborn teamed with AECOM, Graelic and Panzica/Gilbane to provide the design criteria documents for design/build services of a new 300 car parking garage in University Circle for the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Design criteria documents included proposed design efficiency of 353 SF/Space, 3-level parking deck that connects to a new entrance into Kirtland Hall of Prehistoric Life. Specific discipline narrative for basis of design was provide by Osborn for: site/civil construction including site demolition,grading & earthwork, utilities, stormwater management, and paving. The electrical narrative included power distribution, wiring devices, wire raceways, emergency power, lighting, grounding, security, fire alarm, and technology. Mechanical narratives including HVAC requirements of elevators, stair towers, machine room, and elevator lobby, and equipment rooms. Plumbing narrative included fixtures, equipment, water systems, storm drainage, waste & vent systems, and piping. Structural narrative included structural criteria for precast or cast-in-place concrete, structural concept for supported floors, foundation design parameters, slab-on-grade criteria, and inspection/testing criteria.
