Osborn Engineering provided MEP design services for the new Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen corporate headquarters renovation. Osborn worked with SA Group, architects located in Cleveland, OH. The 40,000 SF building houses offices for the union’s National Division officers and staff and the union’s history museum, which contains railroad artifacts dating to 1855. The National Division headquarters building also houses a state of the art education and training center for union officers and members. A 100% union workforce completed all renovation work on the structure. Osborn designed a new state-of-the-art building management system for HVAC and lighting controls. Project electrical included the re-use of the existing electrical distribution system and fire alarm system. New lighting and power, as well as a survey of existing conditions and demolition drawings, was also provided.
