Trailside Education Center

Cleveland Metroparks | Brecksville , Ohio
Within the Brecksville Reservation and adjacent to the existing 1930’s Brecksville Nature Center, Osborn Engineering designed a new educational classroom facility. With the intent to mimic the existing WPA structures, the new educational facility consists of exposed timber trusses and a stone masonry cladding to mimic the nature it surrounds. Working with the Metroparks, Osborn reviewed alternate construction methods to be able to facilitate the desired look. The end result is a beautiful naturesque building meeting the budget requirements of the Metroparks.

The Trailside Program Center will be host to a number of reservable activities throughout the year including clay making, informative wildlife talks, and discussions on pioneer life.
